I would agree with recruiter
Curious as to why you'd agree. I mean once you're competent does it really matter? Most part of the work is basically repetitive so there's no added value if you did it for 20 or 40 hours during that 6 year period.
This doesn’t make sense to me. I have a colleague who has been part time at 4 days a week for most of her career. She has immense institutional knowledge and superb skills, and I would never think of her as having 12 years experience instead of 24.

I don't think there's an agreed equation for it - surely it depends on what you worked on during that time and the range of experience you got?
