So I’m an associate 1- PA is okay but would it smart to move to industry now or should I wait till A2 so I have more experience? Also do they teach a little bit when you start in industry?

Having 6 months of experience vs 18 months isn't huge. Do whatever makes you happy. Career-wise if you can stick it out to senior you'll really have a big difference in exit opportunities.

I would think almost any job would have some type of training, but definitely ask about that in the interview.

What is your current day-to-day situation like? Are you having a reasonable experience as a A1? Are the people around you communicating clearly and are they providing your reasonable feedback, whether formally or informally?

Yea everything is fine overall- I just want to explore lol but maybe you all are right- gotta stick it out until senior then leave for better exit opportunities

Honestly I just want a nice paycheck (not for myself but just to be able to do more good out there by donating or helping people) I just want to be able to pay my expenses do that at that same time instead of having to always choose between the two

A recession is definitely on the horizon, esp when all the big banks and investment firms are sounding the alarm. After Deloittes last big debacle, how do you think they will handle it this time? Back to business as usual, flip the script and slash and burn? They do seem to have a certain reputation.

Hi everyone,

I freelanced for 15 years and started working in-house the last 4. Always thought of myself as a designer, but I’m realizing I’d be a way better AD or CD, and I want to find an agency that will take me as-is and train me up. I’ve done some art & creative direction in personal projects, but not on the clock. Having some trouble finding those in LinkedIn jobs.

So,

1. Where do you look for agency postings?
2. Who are your favorites to work for?

Bain & Company To people who have applied in Bain recently as an AC/SAC (EH) position for April 2023 start date with interview in January 2023 - Have you received interview invite? The deadline for online assessment was 25th October and was supposed to hear regarding the outcome by 11th November. I know 2 days are left but usually they send interview invite/rejection email within 10 days.

Can anyone from Bain shed some light on hiring? Is there any hiring freeze or slow down?

Hi 🐠, what would you do if you had $20 k cash in this market? Also where would you stack your emergency fund? Any bank that is FDIC insured offering more than 3% APY? I’m scared of putting my emergency fund in stable coins like USDC after what happened with terra Luna, Celsius, and voyager . Also debating whether stacking that emergency fund in a bond, I believe it’s 9% to keep up with inflation. Any advice appreciated!

Anyone else feel like they’re an average performer on a team of high performers, but because of that your review will be lower? Worried because I’m getting through the work timely but just feel like there’s always something I’m being asked to do better. Also worried for upcoming promo to senior, if they’ll say I’m not ready by their standards, but someone else’s standards could be completely different.

Here I stand now, no better off than I was two years ago.
