Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?
It's finally here! 🍾🎉 Ok, maybe I'm a little more excited than I should be - but my article, Top 10 Predictors of Federal Employee Job Satisfaction, has been featured in IPMA-HR's HR News Magazine!
The September issue's article is the first in a two-part series that examines OPM's 2019 and 2021 FEVS data, respectively, to predict Federal Employee job satisfaction pre- and post- pandemic.

In many very technical jobs, you must have a degree; in some other jobs, you can substitute a degree for experience; in many jobs, no degree is required. If you have the experience only, you should be able to apply to most positions for which a degree is not required, AND you have the experience to qualify for. You can now filter for remote jobs in USAJobs and you can still enter "location" in the location search field to bring up "location negotiable after selection" jobs.
For government contractor jobs, a lot of our positions don't require a degree, or we can use years of experience in lieu of a degree. My assumption is if contractors don't need it, the govies don't need it.
I had a hard time finding a private sector job without a degree. I have 20 years of experience but no degree = not qualified. It was really discouraging. But I didn't give up and ended up with a great job.
You're right. For the vast majority of jobs, no degree required. Although, anything that sets you apart from the competition is helpful.
