So I’m moving states because I got a new job offer that I accepted. At this job I will need my clearance and while I already have a basic, this is a “level up”... I will also need to buy a car (moving from the city to non-city) ... I’m still waiting for my clearance to go through on this new job ... should I get the car now with an amazing deal 😩 or get a thumbs up on my clearance then get a car. Help.

Wait. Car deals aren't going anywhere soon.

You have a public trust now and are getting a secret?

Wait on the car. The clearance might take a while (could easily be 6+ months, assuming there's nothing that's a red flag or would keep you from getting cleared) and car deals aren't going anywhere.

Hello People,
Looking for advice based on experience. Currently living with in-laws that have come to support us with our first baby. My in-laws and I have had a rocky start to our relationship due to ours being an inter-religion marriage. Many things have been said that I’m neither able to forgive nor forget. I have a very kind husband who understands my sentiments but wants to try to have a cordial relationship with them now for the sake of our baby (and baby’s relationship with grandparents)

Not necessarily looking to exit right now, but possibly in the next 2-3 years. I’m currently a Senior in implementations. I should pick up my promotion to Manager next summer. Would it be wise to try moving into a product/program management role at Google (or similar big tech) after about 1-2 years experience as a Manager or wait a bit longer? Thanks!
