So I'm super bummed cuz I thought I did amazing in my interview with KPMG but it seems like I got ghosted... I sent a thank you note, and a couple days later I sent a follow up email asking where my application was at in the process (already had a few interviews) and nothing. I was really hoping to get the job because I want to leave my job rn and this position seemed to be a perfect fit for me so it sucks that it seems like I didn't get it...

You might not be ghosted yet. Internal HR isn't good at much, especially not with sending updates when they don't have information. They may still be waiting on something and are just failing to communicate that. They are not incentivized to care about doing this and therefore do not (exceptions for good people exist)

Oh, this is about to get very interesting. KPMG2 did that person worked at Oracle? 👀👀

Took 7 months and 9 interviews, with multiple follow-ups for me to get hired. Until they’ve told you “no”, assume it’s “yes”.

like

Wow that's crazy!!! I guess I'll take your optimism at face value heh

Tell them you have another offer and need to accept within 5 days. If they still don’t make an offer then you didn’t make the cut

like

Sure

Which group you interviewed for?

Digital Transformation...? The recruiter said it's a new team coming to Canada (or something like that)

Pick up the phone and call them…

I'm just worried I'd piss them off or something...

Sometimes they take a while. I wouldn't beat myself up

I just hope that's the case... I just wish they gave some sort of update even after I sent a follow-up instead of dealing with this uncertainty...

But why do you want to move to KPMG...

Oh! How did you go about doing that? I was told I cannot do that... And if I were to it would be extremely hard (I'm from NetSuite in the Canada branch)

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?
