So I’m thinking about applying for different companies.. I feel forced to I currently make a little under 50k a year with 4 1/2 years of PC experience. Currently an underwriter. Any companies you all know that are actively hiring with a good salary for experience?

Check on Liberty’s actual website because they carry the salary for the position on everyone. You do sound like you’re really underpaid.

Go look on glass door or something similar. You know the specifics of your rutile and UW area.

I may be able to recommend some place to you. Where are you located and does the job need to be a remote role?

It was a hybrid position though.

There are many, many insurers looking for people. The best way to get a good job, is to have one of your brokers recommend you.

I would apply at Allstate. They are amazing to work for. They have some really great benefits.

If you are interested in being a Production UW, we are looking for someone in Georgia. You would call on the agents/brokers in that area. Let me know if that is something you would be interested in.

I was able to get that full job description. I can email it to you if you would like. It hasn’t been posted anywhere yet as they just submitted it to HR

I have an offer of 25% hike upfront and some hike 6 months when probation period is over (this is agreed verbally but gut feeling says they will give it). My current company agrees to match the 25% hike only but with one year commitment or refund of increment. Work culture is good in current company. Any suggestions?

Had an Excel assessment yesterday as the second to last step in an interview process. I was using a new computer and long story short, had some technical difficulties (or maybe just my own incompetence under stress) and ended up only getting through half of the test. I’m on the fence about emailing my recruiter and explaining the circumstances/asking for a retest. Don’t want to come off like I’m complaining but also don’t want this to be the reason I don’t move forward. Any advice appreciated…

Is anyone hiring for a Technical Project Manager/Product Manager? Junior/Associate roles specifically - thanks!

Welcome to the Salaries in Healthcare bowl! 💸

For the best response to your post, please include the following:

Your location or HCOL/MCOL/LCOL ("high cost of living" city etc), years of experience, and any other relevant information for context.

Ex: "RN with 5 YOE in a MCOL city - just got offered a bedside role for 76k - I'm willing to take it. Thoughts?"

These variables have a great affect on salary and you'll get better answers the more details you provide.

Cheers!

I have an interview with a SAAS company for a sales role but have no SAAS sales experience. I made it past the first round and was told: They are most looking for 1) a strong oil/ gas manufacturing network 2) SAAS sales experience and 3) pipeline growth ability. I am strong in 1 and 3 but need to find a way to leverage that with minimal exposure in 2. Any suggestions?

Finally left TCS last week and feel the most happiest person ever.TCS was my 4th organisation and I had joined TCS to settle for long term but after 1 year I realised this is the worst organisation one can be with.No first year hike for laterals, no support provided to hard working dedicated employees, only support and leaves are gifted to employees who do nothing and know nothing except dodging work and getting escalations from clients.Forced wfo, forced completion of useless trainings etc.

I am the General Manager at an Allstate agency in north Texas. I sell about half the day. The other half is training, interviewing, and other managerial duties. The owner is rarely in the office and very hands off. I step in for service when needed. Anyone in the same role willing to share your salary/pay structure? With all I do and the hours required to get the job done, I feel under paid. Just want to see if my thoughts are out of line.

Seeking advice for a friend. He called me this afternoon basically saying he was being put on a PIP, this is after the company had said a few times he was not learning the role fast enough, only executing duties at about a 20% accuracy week 1 of PIP, week 2 60%, now we are at week 3 back to 50% (UA role, has been there since June). Boss said significant improvement is needed by next Friday. Looking for tips, suggestions, should he already start looking elsewhere? He loves this new job.

I was hired by a company that is paying me a ridiculous amount of money to do my job, but they lied to me, they lied to all of the new hires. This isn’t underwriting, this is a call center. We aren’t even allowed to answer coverage questions when the agents call. The call volume is INSANE - like 70+ calls a day. There’s no actual underwriting happening, and I don’t know what to do. The money is great, but the job is a joke. I’ve been here for 2 months and I want out. Advice?
