So I’m thinking about applying for different companies.. I feel forced to I currently make a little under 50k a year with 4 1/2 years of PC experience. Currently an underwriter. Any companies you all know that are actively hiring with a good salary for experience?

I have an offer of 25% hike upfront and some hike 6 months when probation period is over (this is agreed verbally but gut feeling says they will give it). My current company agrees to match the 25% hike only but with one year commitment or refund of increment. Work culture is good in current company. Any suggestions?

Had an Excel assessment yesterday as the second to last step in an interview process. I was using a new computer and long story short, had some technical difficulties (or maybe just my own incompetence under stress) and ended up only getting through half of the test. I’m on the fence about emailing my recruiter and explaining the circumstances/asking for a retest. Don’t want to come off like I’m complaining but also don’t want this to be the reason I don’t move forward. Any advice appreciated…

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. He called me this afternoon basically saying he was being put on a PIP, this is after the company had said a few times he was not learning the role fast enough, only executing duties at about a 20% accuracy week 1 of PIP, week 2 60%, now we are at week 3 back to 50% (UA role, has been there since June). Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

I was hired by a company that is paying me a ridiculous amount of money to do my job, but they lied to me, they lied to all of the new hires. This isn’t underwriting, this is a call center. We aren’t even allowed to answer coverage questions when the agents call. The call volume is INSANE - like 70+ calls a day. There’s no actual underwriting happening, and I don’t know what to do. The money is great, but the job is a joke. I’ve been here for 2 months and I want out. Advice?
