So, I'm trying to get back to my old company (long story). I landed an interview with someone from HR (because I applied for a new job there, and in the cover letter I explained my situation). I'm feeling hopeful. Any tips on how to talk about me wanting to return. How do I not make it weird, and talk about salary and stuff. Just general pointers to sound interested but not pathetic (lol). I really want another shot at my old company. Thanks

Personally I don’t do this. Curious how this goes though.

I’m probably unhelpful because I’m pivoting into other roles.

Ask your previous manager if your job is still available or if there are openings they can refer you to. It’s not weird to go back to a previous employer. I’ve done it too. Just say you are more aligned with their vision than the other companies you’ve worked for and that you’d rather grow into your career with them.

Thank you for saying that. I actually reached out to my former manager and we are talking soon!

I am interviewing for another position within my same company. If I am offered the job, how do I negotiate salary tactfully. High performers don't quit jobs.

They quit...

• Pain in the ass bosses
• Customer needs that never get addressed
• Bonuses that keep changing (downwards)
• Poor product development
• Lack of career growth
• Bad processes

When top talent quit, it's a sign of business stagnation

Or should I just moved on to another company? What example information can I talk to my manager to negotiate? I'm underpaid ~14%. Need guidance

What’s the Strategy Consultant pay (promotion from Strategy Analyst) at Accenture Strategy in London and NYC? In London, I know the Strategy Analyst pay is severely underpaid (33.5k + 5k = 38.5k 1st and 2nd year, plus performance based bonuses) compared to other strategy houses but interested to see if it balances out at consultant level and if it’s the same issue in NYC.

It's pretty weird to see how terrified people in the US get about the "threat to society" that socialism poses while ignoring the fascism that is *already here*.

I know you don't want another USSR, neither do I. I also don't want another Nazi Germany, so stop voting fascists into our government. The closest we have to socialists in Congress are people like Bernie, who's not starting a revolution. Meanwhile almost all of the R's in the Senate are against a bill that would prevent another coup.

Hello everyone, I'm early in my career 26yo and have been working as ML engineer for a year but mostly did analytics, BI and developed some algos for internal clients.
I have the opportunity to switch to a product owner role which could lead into a product management role further down the line.I'm afraid about leaving the technical side this early and I'm not sure which career path I'd like to follow.
Being this new in the job market, should I stay technical? Or break into product owner early?
