So I’m waiting for my IUI. I went in last week for an ultra sound and bloodwork, my folicals weren’t ready, went into today and they said to come back again Tuesday. I’m freaking out because I have a vacation planned June 30- July 5 . What is the likelihood my folicals will grow before and I can take the trigger shot??

Take the vacation. It is good for you to get some time away from everything. Good luck this week!

Thank you! That is what I’m hoping, Atleast I will be distracted for a few days and not be tempted to test ASAP!

It’s Follicles. You will be fine. They grow astronomically the final few days. You probably have another 3 days max until you can trigger then they grow two additional days. Then you have your IUI so you will do all of that well before June 30th.

Thank you! 💞💞

Most people's follicles are mature between days 12 and 14. If you've already been in monitoring of a week, you must be with a few days of the window. IUI is just monitoring your own cycle. Assuming, you were charting before you started IUI, you should have a general sense of what day is normally your ovulation day. It will be around the same time with IUI.

Did they measure your uterine lining when they did your ultrasound? They can see how thick it is. I would say either way, you'll be fine for your trip. Good luck!

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

After 3 years of dealing with the worst firm I've ever had the displeasure of working for, I finally landed my dream gig at a small specialty firm. The people at the new firm are all SMEs featured in and contributors to the most notable business publications in the world, less than 100 employees, better benefits, unlimimted PTO, doubled my pay and landed a senior role.

Keep looking for what you want and deserve. I'm happy to be forging a better path away from what I've had to endure.

Please help. I am 32 and I have always had regular periods. This time my doctor said I have small ovarian cysts on both my ovaries, and it could be water based & most likely caused due to stress cntd

I had a failed natural FET in Sep & did a mock transfer 2 weeks ago (HFET). Results came back Receptive. I got my period 2 days after stopping the PIO. RE mentioned I can start embryo transfer this week & did not need to wait for my next cycle. My periods are not always regular, so I like the idea of not waiting for them to start but also nervous if this could impact the embryo transfer as it would not follow the same timeline as that of the mock cycle. Anyone try this approach with success?

There were some oddities on the ultrasound- wondering if any of you have experienced any/all of these and how it worked out (doc didn’t sound alarms, just said we’d keep an eye, but naturally I’m worried):
1. Grapefruit sized cyst on right ovary 2. Unknown object with no heartbeat (maybe a hematoma) in the gestational sac with my baby 3. An empty gestational sac

Hi all! So first, husband and I are both 28. I’ve been pregnant before and had previous child at 23. I was obviously way younger. Didn’t even try to get pregnant back then. Fast forward five years later, want a baby badly. I am 50 pounds more than I was at 23. And my periods are now irregular. I do get them every month which the obgyn thought was a great sign. But I’m still not pregnant. I cant pinpoint ovulation as some months my period is 29-32 days and last month it was 45. Help

I had a surgery for ectopic pregnancy about two weeks ago and I’m still insanely tired. To add before the surgery, I was given one dose of methotrexate and my hemoglobin tanked from 13.8 to 10.8 between the first blood test ( May 1st week) and the last ( June 1st week). I think my tiredness is cause by a mix of low hemoglobin, methotrexate, and surgery. Any advice on how to get my energy back would be appreciated.
