Not all of Deloitte calls it the beach. It varies by office and even start class. My office and start class calls it the bench.

I wrote "think creatively" in my notes I took on this assignment while talking to the partner. Unfortunately I'm a lawyer... so the best I've managed so far is a checklist for the assignment that includes "think creatively." Anyone else struggle with solving truly novel problems? The pandemic has created plenty of them, but I feel like a failure when I can't find law or cases on point and have to get "creative."
