So... kind of curious. How would you get into corporate? Like.. at Omnicom, WPP, IPG, Publicis. Do you have to be SVP at an agency before they approach you? Or, how does it work?
Why would u want to
IMO, always stay close to the revenue generation. Corporate rarely makes money, they spend it.
You can look up people who are currently employed there on LinkedIn and research their profiles titles and career trajectory
Different ball game my friend. What line of work are you in?
I’m in analytics but this is just out of sheer curiosity more than anything else. I’m kind of wondering how people get to “spearhead” holding company wide solutions, or, what else goes on up there
I think it's all accountants and assistants
I’ve wondered that myself. I think they have CDs that they sort of float to different agencies that need help.
Depending on the holding company, they have finance departments, legal, HR/Talent, new business, real estate/facilities, procurement, maybe IT, maybe new business, compliance....
If you work on the Growth or Business Development teams (usually for the CMO) you can get going at a junior level.
