Will interest rates ever get back down to covid era levels?

Why aren't we taking more precautions during rallies during covid-19? I am so nervous about these close spaces and almost no one has masks.

Now that I’m happ(ier)[still in my learning curve!], have switched lanes and am making a plentiful salary—due to the confidence boost from this site, my S.O. is now exhibiting the same “symptoms” as I was while I was with my former employer (I was formally state government & fed up—not even miserable).

My SO is an attorney of 8 years. First seven was healthcare/medical malpractice sort of stuff. Towards the end, HE HATED IT. LOATHED IT. This was also when COVID hit. He hated it SO MUCH

So we have a new door/ security guy in my building. Thinking about what we on this bowl said a few posts ago on needing to be excellent to keep our jobs... well, the new guy (Black) is overzealous and putting into effect all the fine prints building rules his white counterpart overlooked. Pre-covid/riots era I would typically have been sooooo annoyed ... but now, I totally feel and respect him for doing that✊🏼✊🏾✊🏽

My sleep pattern is completely shot from COVID. Even on nights when I'm not on duty, my mind and heart are just too full of this crisis.

Theoretically, if you were laid off during COVID19 and have a 6 month gap or something, and the economy starts picking up, how receptive and understanding would companies be of that empty gap?

I don’t have many friends and I don’t have a best friend.. this really weighs on me. I moved around my whole childhood, had a short studying-filled college experience and as soon as I started working COVID hit. I feel really alone and I’m not sure what to do, everyone around me seems to have lots of long lasting friendships. I had a couple close friends who ended up being very poor friends so I cut them off.. at this point I’m not sure if I even know how to be a friend or how to make one.

Is anyone still taking measures to avoid contracting Covid? How are you finding navigating work (travel, in-person meeting requests, team socials?)

Does anyone know if I can transfer H1B with an expired passport? I work on H1B which expires in 2023 and can be renewed on an approved I-140. I just got a new offer and the company will file an H1B transfer for me. However my passport expired last month and my consulate is refusing to renewal my passport due to covid.

Officially scared. I’m triple vaccinated (double Moderna, got booster about 2 months ago) and I’m in my third trimester and due in about 8 weeks. Husband and kids all tested positive for COVID and I’m unable to have them quarantine so I’m a sitting duck. Can anyone point me in the direction of information about risks of Covid for triple vaccinated people in third trimester? Or perhaps provide reassurance?

2nd Interview for Sr TPM (AMZN L6) role — flow was too easy (recruiter was more intense!). My interview was led by a direct report to the hiring manager I was scheduled to meet with. There was no explanation or heads up of the change. I talked to recruiter just now and won’t be moving forward. I can’t help but feel that the decision had already been made by the hiring manager not to proceed. I definitely appreciate the practice but it definitely has a sting to it.

When do you know it’s time to move on? Been at the same company 6+ years, and killing my quota consistently (last 5 years 25%+ when team growth goals were 3-6%).
