Had a recruiter reach out to me from AWS for a Cloud TAM role on the West coast. $100-160k appears to be the base salary range. 3yrs exp is the requirement. I work as a Cloud Architect now for gov in GCP. 3yrs Cloud exp. I have worked in AWS a bit and have the Associate SA cert. Is this a good fit and what could I ask for in total comp? Talk to multiple recruiters to find a good fit and also reaching out to people that work at companies you think you might want to work for and asked them how it is there.
There are usually two types of recruiters, one that works for a firm/company that only represents positions inside their company and the second is one that works with multiple firms/companies and presents you various positions with various companies. The one that only works at their own company are usually salary and the one that represents multiple firms/companies get paid a commission for placing you. A good recruiter is one that listens to what you want at your next job and presents you opportunities that fit your criteria as opposed to only presenting opportunities they currently have in front of them. I spoke with about 10 recruiters before I found one I liked. Let me know if you have more questions.
If you're not sure on what companies to apply for... then just flip on your LinkedIn beacon and go fishing! I feel the hiring markets have opened up a little since New Years.
Work faster??? Lol okay. But I don’t want to hear any one gripe and moan about the significant decrease in quality.
Exactly! It can be fast or correct, pick one.
