Does anyone feel like they’re learning the same amount as a junior if things were normal (more hands on, direct interaction, normal production, etc)? Would you consider the 6-12 months of working from home as proper experience to push you to mid level? I want to advance to mid-level (🤑) but also genuinely am concerned that maybe I’m not learning the ins and outs that I normally would as a junior right now.",

Probably not, production wise. But being able to do our jobs with less guidance and hand holding, in the middle of a pandemic no less, I’d say that’s at least indication of our determination. We gotta fake it till we make it 💪🏼
I’ve been getting busier but I just feel like I’m doing the work rather than learning. I don’t know what I’m doing to be honest but it seems like I’m faking it well enough.
I feel the exact same. I wanted to jump the agency after a year hoping that I would have learnt everything I could here. And now I've spent half the year working by myself without learning much or at all from my seniors.
Honestly, after two years I feel like a career in this industry will doom me to years of frustration and depression. Any suggestions on where to take our creative thinking and execution outside of advertising?
Start a business and use your creative thinking to advertise your projects to your target audience?
