Hi Fishbowlers,
I've been interviewing for a role since May 4th. I've had 8 interviews: virtual on-site, team members, a case study presentation panel interview, a surprise chat w/the VP of CS. 2.5 months in the process... Called the recruiter today asking for final decisions, told we've hired a lot in the last qrtr, trying to work through finance and reorgs. I'm super upset that they've wasted so much of my time to keep me warm in limbo with no regard to the amount of time I resources wasted
An offer letter from elsewhere 😂 that's disrespectful
That's a job out of college. My first CS role with no requirement to build was $65k and that was 2015
That’s ridiculously low!
Is it that low?
Negotiation tip 1: Go interview somewhere else.
Even in Chicago, $75k-$85k should be the low end for a CSM dealing with enterprise accounts. 10% bonus doesn’t make sense either. Most common split is 80/20.

Well I would start by straight up asking them why its so low in comparison to comparable roles... then you'll have something to work with.
