HR/LEGAL HELP: I work for a multi-state remote employer. I am doing a classification study of sorts and believe that we may have to reclassify some positions. The impact is moving exempt and salaried positions to non-exempt. This has caused us to consider what states we are/should be hiring from. Any issues with excluding candidates from certain states that may have more stringent pay laws? Appreciate your help!
Hi Fishes ,
Does anyone know what's the inhand salary for 16.5 fixed salary in American Express

If any of you consider yourself good at coding/ DS study up and leave this dumpster fire.. they create the illusion that our work fits into the solution here at Deloitte. Trust me , we are the entire solution and we are the gears of this ridiculous profit model. They are wasting your time with their kind words… they are stealing from your family when they pay you these low amounts . They are evil…now I make more than my Ms and SMs who told me to “wait” to position myself 😂
Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?
It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.
Thanks in advance!

I have received an offer of ~50% hike at consultant role; where else should I look for opportunities, if any?

Currently interning at a small startup agency. I’ve been there less than a week but I can tell I’m getting exploited since it’s unpaid and no mentorship so far. Is anyone hiring so I can please leave this internship! Thanks
I am about to leave the current role, already got my new job official offer, waiting for background check, then I found out my current company doesn’t pay for unused PTO, and I have quite a lot of left.. What should I do in that situation?

I have multiple offers from a variety of private contractors and I can’t make up my mind on who I want to work for. They all seem very amazing but that’s just from the perspective of the recruiters, which are doing their job. I want some of y’all’s opinion. So here are the companies:
FYI I’m being considered for Cybersecurity, IT, and or Cyber Networks related jobs.
Any feedback on Freshfields in NY - specifically their litigation department? Many thanks in advance.
I had a break down in law school. I was briefly hospitalized and missed part of a semester. I feel guilty about it. I have issues, but looking back a lot of it was a combination of my existing alcohol use, depression, and immaturity. I have flashes of memories of me begging to be hospitalized because I felt so sad and afraid of failure. I don't know why I acted that way,. I don't like that person, and it's hard for me to imagine a world where I find peace despite my terrible behavior. Cont
Being single in this quarantine is the worst thing ever. This could have been such a fantastic bonding time with our S/O (if only we had one 🤷♀️)
Any thoughts on working at Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae? I've heard/read mainly negative things.
Who’s bringing mini bottles to the airport now that planes have stopped serving? I have to fly on Sunday (moving cities) and thinking I might pack a few of those lil guys.
Hey, I received a verbal offer from EY for a role as manager, which was quite a low ball offer. I had received another offer from a different firm and I informed EY HR about it. I was told yesterday that they have an updated offer for me, scheduled the call twice with me but didn't actually call and told me she got occupied in other meetings. I have not got a response from her yet on the mails, should I contact the hiring partner directly? other firm is asking me to update as well.
Hair lacking volume/shedding solutions?
Turned 31 this year and I swear I feel like I've been shedding a whole lot more since quarantine started. I have thicker hair than most and people often tell me "you have a full head of hair, don't worry about balding", but I just looked back at pics of myself from the last decade and my hair now is less voluminous. I am definitely shedding way more than before, I see a lot of it on the floor
I get the same haircut so it's not the layers or the cut.
I feel like I've put myself in boundaries like this is good, this is bad, get home by this time, don't do this etc. It's not even coming from my parents. I'm 32 and have my own place, have a successful career, dating sucks but whatever these days. I just always feel like I pressure myself into being a "good girl" and I'm fearful about shattering that person. How do I let myself live a little. I feel like I don't know how anymore.. anyone else feel this way? Any advice?
Any firms that are hiring for insurance consultants in Los Angeles? I’m looking for a job and have insurance and IT background. Thanks!

What is the proper etiquette for attending a gender reveal party in terms of bringing a gift? We will likely not be invited to the baby shower (it’s my husband’s employee and wife’s gender reveal)
I need a mentor that’s been through what I’m currently going through. I transferred from tax compliance to tax consulting. I never feel like I’m hitting it out of the park. I need a mentor to talk to once a week or month - periodically that’s successfully made this transition.
By industry standards, how long before a junior creative can ask for a promotion? (provided they've done the work to back it up, ofcourse)
Additional Posts in Customer Success & Account Management
We see LOTS of posts about what skills are vital to the role of CSM. This post attempts to distill them into a list, but also provides some ideas for how workout your CS muscle, even without having ever used it before;
I'm waiting for a background check to know if I can finally be employed by this new company. I haven't graduated yet but already have 2 years experience in the customer success field. Do you think this could be deal breaker?
Aside this I have experience in marketing and no fellonies or charges.
Had a really great initial interview with a recruiter for a CS role at a company I’m dying to work for! The recruiter went over next steps which would included scheduling an interview with the hiring manager next. I was interviewed on a Tuesday and he said he’d get back about the inteveriw with the hiring manager at the end of the week, or latest Monday. I also followed up with a thank you email after the interview. It’s now the following Friday (almost 9 days later) Should I follow up or wait?
Any UK based CS consultants/managers here? Pls could you share your salary, industry and years of experience
I've been interviewing for a role since May 4th. I've had 8 interviews: virtual on-site, team members, a case study presentation panel interview, a surprise chat w/the VP of CS. 2.5 months in the process... Called the recruiter today asking for final decisions, told we've hired a lot in the last qrtr, trying to work through finance and reorgs. I'm super upset that they've wasted so much of my time to keep me warm in limbo with no regard to the amount of time I resources wasted
People operations —> partner success/account management??
I connected with the hiring manager for a position at a software co. we use and I’m an expert in at my current job. They’re actually familiar with my current org (which has NEVER happened) so I really want to put my best foot forward. Any resume advice on showcasing my potential ability in partner success/account management from a people ops background?
McKinsey & Company Anyone have any insight on the salary for a CSM at McKinsey & Company with 6+ YOE in Chicago?
I have an opportunity for CSM role with a healthcare tech company in the Mountain View and they offering 90k with 20k variable. When I chat with the team they say that the metrics behind the variable change almost every quarter. This would be a step back in terms of salary, but they are offering equity and growing 150% YoY. The 110 all in seems like a low ball?!? Any good questions I could ask to better asses comp here?
I'm currently in operations in a partner facing role, working closely with them to streamline their business processes. I'm considering exploring new opportunities as a Customer Success Manager. What skill sets do you need to be successful in the role?
Just got an email about an Enterprise CSM position paying $80k base + bonus. Is that the new norm!?! I thought enterprise starts at 90-100k base with 20%+ OTE…
Certified CSM, looking for a remote role in the UK.
I'm curious if anyone would share what you think the pay should be like. All I know is that I am currently severely underpaid and I'm not sure if what I've been telling recruiters is too much. TIA!
Our CSM department is going through a major restructure right now. There has been a huge amount of turn over since the beginning of the year. Our managers have not given us any insight to what the new restructure will look like, they have also pushed out our annual raise conversations until the end of April. A lot of CSMs are leaving the company and it has me thinking maybe I should entertain other opportunities elsewhere as well.
Has anyone else had an experience like this?

When choosing between job offers, what are the two most important elements to you (if salary is identical), and why?
- supportive team mates and culture
- career growth opportunities
- better benefits (translate that as you will)
- transparent leadership
- a challenging product you love to work with
