That’s frustrating, and many here can relate. But still not a great look referring to Infinitis and Lexus as cheap cars.
If only OP had access to powerful search based technology to find suggestions for their queries... Why are Googlers even here?
Spot on, ATK1
Good point, ATK1...
I had extended the lease as far as it can be, apparently. Yeah, I get these aren’t cheap cars, but at ~$20k used, they’re still cheaper than any car I’ve bought so far. Hadn’t considered Subaru- will check them out. What is the resale like on a used Subaru?
How long is your gap between lease turn in and Tesla delivery date? Can you really not live without a car that long by renting something month to month or just taking public transportation or Uber? Unless it's at least a year gap you're not going to be able to buy and resell something else without losing money on it.
Subaru retains value the most
Tesla Model III is in a bad place right now. Both are solid cars with good resale. Not sure when they were last refreshed, but I’d pick the one that has the most recent redesign
Or extend lease
Hands down Subaru given the resell criteria. If you can get your hands on a reasonably priced WRX, you’ll also have FUN while driving your interim car.
Lexus are great cars
Subaru’s are known for stellar resale value. Especially if you live in or near an area with snow as they are solid in the snow.
OP you haven’t “bought” anything, you pay a lease and then lose the car...
What car are you leasing now? Since you're a consultant, I'm assuming it has low miles. If so, buy the car for the residual and sell it when your model 3 is ready. I bought my IS 250 after my lease and made $8k on it 2 years later
Uber it?!
I’d estimate it’s pretty far- March is when I️ should expect it, but Tesla has been missing lots of deadlines lately...
