Polling is the worst when the numbers don’t support the narrative

The tax credit is a tax. So yes, Republicans are against tax credits (taxes)

McK1, not necessarily more taxes, just different taxes. The total tax revenue could go up or down.

A tax credit targeted to middle class families. Isn't this what the GOP always says they are doing? Should be bipartisan support.

I'm sure they came to this conclusion on their own....

Come on, 300/month per kid regardless of income is not a tax cut it is welfare.

BCG1, you can get social security without having to file a tax return which is not the case for the child tax credit. Similarly to the home mortgage interest deduction which can only be utilized if you are filing a tax return.

I wonder what could have caused this...

What is reputation worth to you? Have only been at EY for a few months, but just got an offer for 30% base increase at lower tier tech consulting firm. I would hate to leave so soon but that’s a big bag for the same role.

I recently joined a boutique firm after leaving a Big 4, around a month now, but having second thoughts. Is it bad to Look elsewhere after only a month? I'm not comfortable with how they have treated me regarding some requests and just don't feel at ease. If you know a firm hiring in FS or MC space in general, please help me. Thank you.

Hello fellow H1B folks! Question on i797 approval letter. Got my visa approved from company A. I need to delay my start date at company A. If company A does not withdraw its application, how long do I have on the newly approved petition to do the switch? Long story short when does the new petition cease being valid? I still have an existing valid visa / i797 for my current company.
