I actually like my job but I only realized this past week how miserable so many of my more senior associates and partners are. Like, genuinely mentally ill that I could feeeel their anxiety or depression. How do people live like this and how do I not let it affect me? Maybe this is mean but I’ve never had issues like that and I don’t like being around that energy even if they treat me fine.

I'm seeing a psychiatrist & have one person who knows I'm going through depression & anxiety. But can't call them/reach out to them every time. I feel like I shouldn't because it's too late, too early, too often or too much...they are very busy. Considering how much I'm sick of myself, I'm sure they are too. But when I'm having very intense moments from suicide ideation& my coping mechanisms don't work sometimes I don't know what to do. How was your experience w suicide prevention kind of chat?

How would you tell your senior and partner that you’re probably not gonna make it to finish a task due to medical illness (i.e., covid symptoms)? I’m worried they would not take it seriously and still expect me to turn in deliverables (which btw don’t have an specific due date).

Are there any good ways to make money outside of a typical career job? I’ve tried audit and currently in advisory. The job just makes me depressed, and I’m thinking the accounting space just isn’t for me. My husband works, so I don’t have to worry with medical benefits etc if I quit.
