Don’t work hard to please the people above you. Work hard because you value your work

like

EY1 I obviously work hard because I value my work as well, but a part of that is adapting to the way your seniors/managers like things done as well

No, I don’t love the torture. But I wanted to at least stay my 2 years for experience so I can get my CPA license, which I did so I guess I have nothing holding me back now!

Not all PA firms make you feel that way. Move to a firm that appreciates and respects you as a person

Why not leave now? You must love the torcher if you feel that way

Never leave at the end of busy season. Give yourself a chance to enjoy the benefit of getting paid well when things are slower. Take your vacation and your extra holidays. You might find it's not so bad the rest of the year.

@pwc3 I agree with that, but if you wanna leave it’s best to start looking when possible so you can be picky

I’m so sick of teachers making excuses for not getting vaccinated. I got this lovely reply from a teacher in Washington because I support a mandate. Hell no, I’m in a high need field and rated highly effective.

Hey guys! Went to college with full intention of getting into medical school. Graduated right before the pandemic which gave time to think long and hard about going to med school. Decided I was doing it for all the wrong reasons, and am trying to pivot into consulting. I’ve reached out to hundreds on LinkedIn, which lead to a few referrals, but have heard nothing back from any firms. Anyone willing to help me out with some advice and guidance?

So I live in a state that offers paid family medical leave and my company makes me manage applications with the state. I am supposed to get part of my paycheck from the state and part of it from short term disability (managed by Sedgwick who are THE WORST.) As per the offer letter it mentions "Mediclaim Scheme with Floater Option of Self + 3 or Self + 5 with/without parents. " : INR. 150,000/- to INR. 3,000,000/-  Does this mean that without paying extra, the med insurance is just 1.5L?
