I’ve been a general manager for a convenience store for almost 2 years now. I have raised profit after variable expenses by 13% compared to last year, and exceeding budgets in almost every category except for turnover. I got an 11% raise last year, but still only make $55k. My store profits about 17k a month on inside sales, and 160k a month in fuel. I think I deserve more, but I don’t know how to ask for it, and don’t know how to begin a job search aside from indeed. Any advice?
Nothing wrong with asking now even if the chances for success are a bit lower. If you've been there at least 6 months and have seen a dramatic or serious increase in responsibilities and expectations, I think it's fine to at least make it clear that you want to be on track for a pay increase based on that.
It is honestly so stressful in the medical field as a administrator because sometimes you feel as if everything is on you which should never feel like that and I have a year and a half now and haven’t asked for a raise yet. I would say wait it out a little longer to then ask.
Should I add that I work in the information security field?
