Hi Account Director/OP, I for one firmly feel people should be hired based off their qualifications… Not necessarily because they will improve company DEI numbers.
Do you have information on how many candidates were screened/interviewed etc etc?

They’re also the first not to miss life on the company dime while telling everyone else to tighten up and work harder. Any time leadership speaks I zone out. Buzz words, popular business speak, which amounts to nothing. Wish I could hit the lottery.
SAP is a German company, so not surprised if its NA sector would reflect the same homogeneity (even tho NA has to preach DEI values in the region)
Do you believe someone, specifically a person of color, is more qualified than the 2 new hires? If yes then I guess this has more goles than swiss cheese.
What I find wrong in that statement is preaching DEI in every meeting. Just include it in the processes (sourcing resumes, screening etc), and hire the best you get. President’s job is to see the Market Unit performs well, all his tasks should be focused to meet that goal.
What is DEI
Maybe they were the best candidates.
