Is this a good offer? My primary focus is on work life balance as I had literally none in my previous company(cognizant).DXC TechnologyCognizant

I was a partner for 22 years at two different AMLaw 20 firms. As an earlier poster said it varies wildly by firm and then within firms it varies wildly year to year. And comp varies among offices for partners with comparable production. The guarantees paid to some lateral partners further cloud the data. One key measure is “just enough to keep the partner from leaving”. Another is “what have you done for us lately,” as bonuses often make up a high percentage of partner competition. All of that said at some biglaw firms a partner may make as little as $400,000 or more than $20 million. Most are in the high 6 or very low 7 figures.
With said said, any Big Law Firms looking for a new senior partner with the experience of a second year associate?! 😂
Check AMLaw PPP for a general idea, but even that is going to vary wildly from individual partner to individual partner, not only by the complex ways in which partners at different firms split the pie, but YoY. I wouldn’t trust any anecdotal advice on here.
Different firms value different aspects of the law business differently. Some look predominantly at rain making. Others look at working attorney collections. Where on the spectrum each is valued varies greatly from firm to firm. That is one reason to carefully evaluate the culture and expectations of a firm before you truly commit.
The classic answer is “it depends”
