So tired of drinking every night to deal with the stress of this job. Am I just not cut out for this job bc of how I handle stress or are there others out there?

Don’t give up! I was the same. Eventually, you learn to care a little less. Still enough to do your job, but not so much that it cripples you.

This is so true. You have to learn to not be too personally invested. The book written by these women would be a good read for you. https://instagram.com/lizandmollie?utm_medium=copy_link

Good luck! Once you fix the root of the issue you will feel a lot better. Remember alcohol is a depressant

What stress are you going through?

Oh I’ve been through the same thing. Put me in high distress for 4 months and the effect is still felt 1 year later :( I’m sorry. I promise you it will get better though.

Some times I feel bad when fake experience people join the company and overtake other people with genuine experience. But in today’s scenario fake is equivalent to genuine.

Leaving public has been the best decision I ever made. Anyone have tips for dealing with a SO that’s getting mean? I know this lock down is hard, but she is screaming at me more and more for stupid things. I am just sucking it up, but I’m getting to the end of my rope and it’s firing off my mental health issues.

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.

How do you deal with irrational anxiety whenever your boss is saying “hey let’s schedule 1:1, I’ve got a few things to discuss”? I’ve never had a bad performance rating before, quite the opposite I have received positive feedback. I also know 99% of the time this meeting is harmless and my anxiety has been proven wrong many times. But I’m still always on edge whenever this kind of meeting is scheduled. 😩

Also, yes I do go to therapy and have discussed this issue, but it hasn’t helped
