Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect

It's even worse when there's no JD and they say they think you'd be a great fit and ask immediately for you resume. How am I great fit if you need my resume?
LMFAO, love that!! Or they wanna setup a time when they've given zero context
I’ve had recruiters message me on LinkedIn saying “Dear [CANDIDATE]” or even just straight give me the JD with no intro.
I had one woman not even change the name in the template, it said "Hi Mellisa, hope this message finds you well"
My name is not Melissa.
Anyways, I replied saying, hey this message looks like it was intended for Melissa and you sent it to the wrong person by mistake.
And this woman replies, no it was meant for you, and didn't even acknowledge her mistake and just doubled down
I’m a recruiter and I feel your pain. I too get emails for roles which do not align with my skills. Let me call it like it is, those are Staffing Recruiters who don’t recruit for one specific pipeline so as they get requisitions they are not familiar with instead of emerging themselves with the must haves they rush to “try” to identify candidates. They go about it the long wrong way.
Complete spam.
My favorite part is when they message you and your reply within an hour and then then ghost you. Like you messaged me buddy
I had one for a construction worker a few weeks ago so 🤷♀️
It’s a search they do on your profile and then they blast everyone with the same message. The spray and pray method of recruiting.
I’m a producer/project manager and have had so many product designer roles sent to me, I’ve lost count
I actually would still apply just to waste their time 🤣 it only takes a click on my end, so it doesnt waste mine.
My favorite is the Gizmodo email with the bright green highlighted white text in the email.
