What's working at The Trade Desk NYC like?
Hey all, anyone have insight into LEK’s final round for Associates? I was told it would consist of 3x 30 min cases (quant, strategy, business logic). My first round quant was market sizing, and strategy was market entry so not sure if it will be the same, but also not sure what business logic consists of. Also, assuming it will be with Principals and Partners? Any other tips from current or former L.E.K. Consulting people, or anyone who’s gone through the process would be great!

Do you want to be equally uninspired with 400% higher living expenses? Because that's about what you'll get if you move to NYC.
Point of order: WeWork is not a start-up
It’s more of the same. I’d apply in nyc and if you land a gig you like just do it for a little while without moving everything. Base it on the work. I tell most talented ADs and CWs who work in NYC to leave and try places less obvious for work.
Thank you for the sound advice and honest opinion. Totally agree that NYC isn’t the be–all end-all of job hubs but there’s something in me that just needs to try it out, at least to say I gave it a shot. Appreciate the input, I’ll keep it in mind 🙂
AD — if you can get a gig in NYC that you’re excited about, make the move. If it’s a disappointment, you can always move somewhere else. Ain’t no thang
Do you work at fcb?
I would not compare the disappointment and lack of inspiration you get from Chicago to NYC, where you get to have 400X more opportunities.
