Just too much work, miss the family. Now they’re irritated that I’m leaving. So much sacrifice.

It’s mostly fixed, notice given. Just can’t wait to move on.

You have to do what’s best for you and your family OP. I wish you well in whatever that turns out to be 😊

You have to do what’s best for you. They’re irritated because your departure is inconvenient to them, and no one likes being inconvenienced. If you rationalise it that way then you won’t feel bad for too long.

Keep your head up fam. This is just a job.

I admire how you kept perspective. You knew your priorities. I’ve known people who have gotten divorces, rescheduled weddings, ect. to make the sacrifices the firm wanted. I used to volunteer at a hospice during undergrad and I can tell you no one had any career regrets. It was always personal relationships.

What happened if you don’t mind us asking?

The family is irritated? That's unfortunate. At least you'll have time to mend those relationships now.

Your happiness and family is not worth sacrificing long term! I wish you all the best at your new company!

Hello all!

I’m a MSN, RN with 7 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU/PACU). Prior to becoming a nurse, I was a Medical Service Corps officer in the US Army for 8 years. I have my BSN/MSN and a non-nursing MA.
I’m interested in shifting gears to healthcare consulting. I’ve heard great things about Chartis and would love to hear more, specifically with regards to nurses making the jump. Can anyone offer insight or any other consulting firm they recommend?
Thank you in advance!

According to HR , accepting offer letter and not joining is not acceptable and it considered as unprofessional.

But.

According to HR: not giving hike/Variable pay/ bonus Even after completing yearly cycle for Variable pay / bonus / hike while serving notice period is acceptable and it is according to company standards.

*Rule States that in to eligible for it employees has to be on company pay role.

Question is If one resign then on who's pay role that employee is serving notice per?

Vyvanse certainly doesn’t help the anxiety, especially when I’m coming down off it for the day. I want to ask my doctors about an anti-anxiety/depression meds, but does anyone here take ADHD meds and those other meds at the same time? I’m worried about the drug interactions/potential physical effects. TIA.

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??
