I think a masterclass series like this is geared more towards the normies and not agency vets.
Nothing new, I respect their legacy but we need to showcase people who reflect the actual state of this industry not what once was.
I didn’t learn new necessarily, but it was good to watch and I don’t regret it. Plus there’s so much on writing from other people that I’m sure it’s worth it

Guess the question is... for the people who did?
It was interesting for learning the history of Goodby and seeing some of their old work that I didn’t know about (I really love the Nike Skateboarding campaign they did). But it felt more like a history lesson than a how-to. Lots of how they started their own agency, but nothing for non-ad people about how to get hired as creatives at one, and nothing for people like us about how to become better creatives.
Since I paid for the subscription anyway, I’m taking Judd Apatow’s MasterClass and find that really useful.
Easy to watch and well produced, but not a ton of value from a learning perspective. If anything it’s a history of (admittedly great) work from Goodby.
On another note, I got quite a bit of useful information and industry perspective by listening to certain episodes of the Woodshed Podcast from CP+B (well...B) and that shit was free.
