Between Deloitte and PwC, which firm offers faster upward movement? Trying to gauge the time taken for promotion from senior associate/senior consultant to partner
I got a 1 rating and a promotion from BTA to consultant, how much of a raise do you think I will get this year????
NYC Tax2 to Senior1...is 85K a reasonable expectation? Anyone successfully negotiated their standard raise in the past. what strategy did you use? How did you approach the discussion? what outcome?
Corporate practice - I leave my job for a top of the market raise - it would be about a 25 percent pay increase. Is it possible to ask for more money before leaving or would that piss people off?
Maybe I'm too much of a economist/ accountant but I don't believe the wage gap in the US is accurate. I believe it has more to do with career choices and the % of women who stop working to raise a fam
Can someone describe the work culture at Roland Berger for me? I’m curious to know what the work life balance is like, whether the PMs and Partners are generally nice, and what the promotion process would be like for an experienced hire (is it fair?))
Do the increased fees to clients and lower commissions to wholesalers raise any alarm to those invested in PIMCO Income (PONAX)?
I actually like PA. Anyone else can relate? I worked in industry and government before joining PA. I made the switch to PA after I was told my raise was going to be 5% after 2yrs of work. Smh
In a dilemma- Im applying R1 and one of my managers who I’m going to request a letter of rec from is also who I would need to advocate for me for a promotion this upcoming cycle. Has anyone gone through something similar and have advice on how I should approach this?
Advice wanted: My firm lied about our raises this year. They said we’d match the other top 10 firms, and that was absolute BS. I’m having a hard time staying motivated. I’m doing senior level work without the title or pay. Fresh college grads are getting paid more than me. I’m already job searching, but I feel bad that I don’t have the same drive as I did before when I thought I would be receiving a proper raise. I learned my lesson. Any advice for a young professional?
Started at PwC in fall of 2016, moved to D for a raise (80->125) Watching my PwC classmates who are all Sr Associates, some on cusp of Manager. Can’t help but feel left behind as a C at Deloitte. I know I’m doing fine but man still feels like maybe I was too hasty to jump 😪
is 6 months too early to ask for a raise?
To all consultants out there: I am rather introvert and quite confcall - how did you learn to boost your confidence? Culturally I come from a region where self promotion is seen negatively. You always down-play.
What's the standard BO raise at a BB from analyst level to associate (or equivalent)? 5%? 10%?
How do i go about using a job offer as leverage for a promotion? Possible promotion came up at my review and since then another agency has reached out to me.
I received an offer from another agency (Agency B) that's a 15% pay bump, but I am happy at my current agency (Agency A). I have asked Agency A for a raise to match that (not mentioning I had another offer) but it will take them a few weeks to come back to me, and Agency B are wanting a response soon... What do I do? Do I go for the money? Do I tell my boss I have another offer on the table?
A month ago my boss told me I was getting a promotion and a raise. My raise was effective May 15th, and it has been reflected in my pay. He told me to keep it on the down low since there were no(cont)
How does everyone calculate their TC? Do you include bonus potential? Other guaranteed cash? Equity assuming full vest?
With so many professionals working from home due to Covid-19, what are your tips / strategies for being productive when WFH?
Hi ladies- can you tell me what you pay in premiums for your healthcare? My employer is saying they’re competitive in the market but I don’t think that’s the case and I’d like to negotiate based on that. Monthly premium for you (and fam if@you have kids?)
What’s the best way to find a job? I’m tired of applying on LinkedIn, websites, cold messaging recruiters for an interview. I just can’t seem to land something. Any feedback?
Rejecting an offer. What’s the best way to do it? Love their work, the interviews but $ is not enough to justify the move. Help. 🙏
Was just notified after three rounds of interviews that they weren’t going to move forward with me...no reason given. I was perfect for the job and really thought I had it. Absolutely crushed right now. Been 6 months, not sure what else I can do.
In all honesty, I understand people are leaving Big 4 right now because they have decent exit ops or better WLB ops, but what about people working at small/boutique firms making $100-105k as a SC/M? Is it worth it to join a Big 4 if you can potentially get a 20-30% pay increase, i.e. is the increase in salary worth the headache and travel?Deloitte Accenture PwC EY
Analyst, MBA, making 85 base. 10+ yrs industry YOE. 2YOE consulting. Top 20 school. Should have C promotion coming any minute with bonus. reasonable working hours. Not fully vested yet for 401k matches, IIRC. Have in-house consultant opportunity in industry - ~120 base and expected bonuses around 15-20/yr. 8-5 gig, <25% travel. Hi Guys - I am looking for the job change. Can anyone please help me with referral? YOE - 7 Skill - Selenium QA automation/Tech lead role
Searching for an open position for advisory service in London. Do you know if there are any companies hiring and would sponsor a T2 visa?(all big four does for sure)
Thoughts you'd give to a high performer at a small firm in the suburbs considering jumping to b4 in a big (and new) city? Risky move? Chance of a lifetime?
For those in AM: thoughts on CAIA, CIPM, etc?? I was wondering if these will actually help vs. just waste of money.
What is the difference between an Associate Consultant role (in MBB) vs. a Consulting/Business Analyst role (in McK/Big 4/ACN)? Would the former be a step up from the latter, or they are lateral?
Most billable hours in a day (within 24 hours)? Mine has been 20 and I’ve hit that 2x this year.
How long did it take you all to reach the 6 figure salary? I know it varies depending on where you're located but im curious where you started and where you are now
People on long term travel engagements (6+ months) how often do you take a remote week? Have been on two projects each over 7 months with no break in between. The non stop travel is killing me.
