Have an offer from both Accenture and PWC with exactly the same base salary and unclear on annual bonus for either. Can someone tell me if I’m missing anything regarding benefits as Accenture seems to be the clear winner? Accenture: 6% 401k fully vested after 2 years, ESPP 15% discount, 3 additional PTO days, better healthcare options. PWC: Separately paid out sick leave, 3 more holidays
Planning to take a new job at Accenture but have some vacations planned (likely before I will have accrued enough pto). Anyone know the policy on that?
PwC has office wide holidays Dec 23 - Jan 3? Is this on top of the allocated vacation days / PTO? Can anyone confirm, I’m skeptical 🤔
Is time off/vacation and sick time negotiable with WPP? Specifically Ogilvy NY prior to accepting an offer? Heard it’s only 10 days of PTO. That’s crazy 🥴
How do sick days work? Just realized that 1/3 of my “PTO” is actually sick days (and it’s not generous and you don’t get paid out when you leave). I’m very lucky to not get sick but does that mean in order to use some I’ll have to spontaneously say I’m ill with little advanced notice? Seems like a policy which rewards people for leaving their team in a lurch.
Husband works at nonprofit as a high level individual contributor. Started in August, fully remote. We are on vacation in the Caribbean this week, and I want to stay another week or two. Are the optics of my husband working from the Caribbean problematic?
WHO approaches all consulting firms asking them to provide a solution to omicron, what do they bring to the table? Thoughts? McK: “hear me out, what if we give people this pill that gets rid of the pain?” BCG: “the real question is how much money pharma can make, let me show you this growth matrix” Bain: “forgot to submit solution as they were all hanging out with their friends in Nantucket” S&: still working 24/7 on a solution with no time off for its employees D: annoyed that I put S& first
I was offered an amazing job that I’m super excited about. I’m waiting for the background check to clear before I give notice. I’ve been told background checks are taking forever right now. Has anyone else had a background check recently - if so, how long did it take? I’m trying to get an idea for what I should propose for my start date…I really want to have some extended time off before I start.
Friend was terminated from regional CPA firm after 6 years. No severance whatsoever, only paid out for accrued PTO. Does he have a case for legal action?

Does Deloitte pay out unused PTO if you quit?
Would you be bothered if a colleague (peer or subordinate) went on vacation to the Caribbean for Thanksgiving, then decided to stay there and work remotely while his wife continued to vacation for another 2 weeks? I am the wife and I'm trying to get an idea of whether this would hurt my husband at work. He has been working while on vacation, so he has already showed that he can work. But he only started in August.
Best big and mid size firms in Atlanta for real estate? When considering billable hours, comp, culture, etc. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone that generally likes their firm or has any recommendations on firms to stay away from. Considering making the move from a boutique firm as a 5th year lateral.
Google is providing all US-based employees weekly COVID tests by mail using bioiQ. Any consulting firms out there doing the same? Seems like a great perk.
Is consulting really even worth it anymore if I have to pay for my own food now and travel moving forward is going to be at the max 1/3 of what it used to be (if things are ever “normal” again) so all those benefits we forced ourselves to accept as worth are now gone?

Any fish on here that currently putting in notice: how are your firms handling if you have personal possessions still in the office? I have a filing cabinet in my home office where I keep a spare pair of heels and cardigan. Obviously didn’t expect to get a new job during quarantine or I would have taken these items home. Have firms made exceptions for you to go in the office and grab these items? Or offer that you can come back in a few months and pick up the possessions?
Anyone move from consulting to Tesla that can shed some light on how they did it? what the comp is like? Remote work?

Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
