Software Sales question: I just got a job offer to join a post-Series A with under 20 employees.
On the equity piece, I was offered .1% equity at a $142m valuation. This is a Senior / Director Sales role where I'll be blending IC duties + managing a team as we grow. I felt this offer was a bit low from the equity side. Anyone know how to evaluate this?

Negotiating a settlement. I’m at $10k, opposing counsel is at $20k. My client won’t go higher than $15k. OC has come down to 17.5k and says his client won’t budge from that. Do I offer 12.5k so we can hopefully meet in the middle at 15k? Is that how the settlement game is played? Seems dumb we can’t just say let’s meet in the middle now and be done with this. (I’m a first year, first time negotiating a settlement on my own and I don’t want to screw this up!)

I have credit card with last billed amount of 1,25,000. But i just received my refund of 50,000 which will be adjusted in the next cycle.

Hi all, was hoping for clarity on offers from FANG/Tier 2 tech I received recently. Base pay is still within range of 130-150K, but equity components have dropped dramatically. For reference, for similar positions, I was receiving grants of 150K - 200K over 4 years for data analyst positions (4-5 YOE) in Aug’21-Feb’22. For personal reasons, I did not accept these offers. Now the equity grants are coming in like 50-70K over 4 years. Is this market wide for non SWE/PM roles due to stock market?

I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO.

Any advice/books/... on stakeholder management at that level? Especially when things fail/discussing budgets/new hires etc.
