Sold my used car to someone through Facebook marketplace and now after a few days they are saying there are issues with car transmission. Am I responsible for anything now?

As soon as I sell something on Facebook, I remove the item immediately, save the conversations and block the person

Unlikely. That’s why you pay for an inspection before you buy. Maybe check your state laws around private party vehicle sales.

like

Usually not. Did you do a bill of sale that said you would not be held liable? What state? Did they already register the car?

When a consumer purchases a used car from a private seller, however, the purchase is made as is — without warranty, expressed or implied, unless otherwise noted in a contract signed by the seller and the buyer.

helpful

Sold as is. Did you provide any warranty? What does the bill of sale say?

If you didn't provide any warranty, I would ignore. They aren't going to pay a lawyer which will cost more than the vehicle repairs.

I will never use Facebook to sell anything.

High performance wagons? Have under 2 years left on my m340 lease and really wish we got more wagons over in the States. Anyone have any recommendations for consideration? 2 kids fit fine in my car now,
but could use more space and do not want a SUV.

I want a new stick car. Any ideas?

Just got a manual 2014 Audi A4 and am still learning to drive stick. Any tips for smoothing out the shift from 1st to 2nd? Especially for driving fast. I can get it smooth if I’m short shifting to 2nd and babying the clutch, but it’s hard to launch with any vigor from a dead stop without lurching the thing into 2nd

Buy/lease now or defer to Q1-2023?

My car broke (engine seized, 10y old). I am interested in 530i ($62k price), however 3year lease is $1,000+ monthly (with $5k down). Monthly lesse payment is 50% more than bmw advertised offers (“south FL dealers are not participating in the program”)

Q to car gurus/experts- should I defer purchase/lease for 6 months? My logic, the impending recession will reduce demand and we will go back to more balanced market (lower prices with negotiation).

Some cars you dreamed about when you were younger that when you got to the age where you could drive one, you realized, man, I’d rather be in something else! I tried getting to an Aventador a few years ago when my M5 was being serviced and I realized I was too bulky to get in. When I was looking for. Y current daily driver, I thought about leasing an Alfa Romeo, it again, too bulky to get in. I looked into getting a C6 Corvette before, and then realized that driving one would kill my back.
