The most racist thing on here was P4 saying "if we were in China, a white girl would be called a white girl, but here in the states a white girl is normal." Yes obviously white girls stand out in China, because China is a country full of Chinese people. America is supposed to be a "melting pot" where people of all different races are accepted as the norm. The fact that you're saying an Asian person in the states stands out as much as a white person in China is hellllaaaaa racist!!

Are they saying " the white girl" in a china in a condescending tone ? Or as someone who needs help as everyone is speaking Chinese or something else. It becomes racist when its hostile a bit. We can say " the hot Asian girl" , the cute white girl , " sexy blond " . As for the opening post now I am confident that OP didn't just say for the sake of saying. He ( assuming he's male non Asian and had some bitter experience in the past with Asian ) . He was looking down at the offer of middle seat and it aligns with his past experience that Asians do screw up. Lol. May be OP can say what Ws going on his mind. Doesn't matter how we analyze it now.

Eh as an Asian girl, I'll allow it.

OMG, political correctness police please stop! You wouldn't have said a thing if OP said "some white guy"

Some Asia girls? You're an idiot. How about some girl!

I'm that Asian girl!!!

Raise your hand if you assumed OP and D2 are both white males?

Why not just say "some person" for that matter?

Lol @ the PC police all butt hurt because OP called a spade a spade. If he said "white guy" nobody would blink. But when somebody describes somebody as "black/Asian/Indian" you all lose your shit. Your sensitivity is amusing to the rest of us. Thank you.

Just tell her "as long as I have a face, you have a seat."

The people who are offended by OP using Asian are the people making this country more polarized, grow up

@D5, calling an Asian person Asian is being racist? Holy shit, what a world we live in.

Some - white/black/Asian/Spanish - whatever - same thing.. There is no need to state someone's race as a way to call someone out. It's called subliminal racism! Look it up

And your stupidity blinds you

@D5, no please, I beg you to enlighten me as to why describing an Asian person as "Asian" is racist. It's pathetic how people are so quick to pull the race card at every opportunity, even when it's something as innocent as OP saying "an Asian girl sitting next to me"...the fact that those completely harmless words offend ppl make me sad and scared for our future.

like

What OP said is not f***ing racist. Get the f*** over it. And yes, for the record, I'm still looking to exchange my middle seat with someone 😉😉😉

like

O, sorry, I forgot that pretty much anything these days can be interpreted as being racist. My bad. Carry on.

Way too many nancies in this thread. Stop making a big deal out of something that isn't remotely racist. You people who think this way are the reason why Trump has so much power.

To take my 2y outside requires so much effort on my part . He doesn’t want to leave unless sometimes I have to threaten that I’m leaving alone. Once we leave , I have another issue with getting him back home if we are at a fun activity . Now some days I give up and don’t want to take him outside anymore.
