Organizations are nothing but people like you and me. No organization think like ok let's fire people and so instead do firing let's call people to office so they resign. Doesn't this thought look stupid?
When an organization want to lay off, they will identify non performers or people bringing less revenue or high cost etc. No organization says let's call wfo and whoever reisgns will resign and lose many high performers or lose control on their own people.
Organizations are calling to office because of many reasons. Many are moonlighting, do not have sense of team working and do not develop team culture, people take off as and when they like and not available during important meetings citing many reasons. You as a low exp individual contributor may not have experienced these issues, but anyone at top level would vouch for this. Again some organizations are mature enough or have business in such a way to work through thes issues and some do not.

@SalesForce I am not comparing experience. I was just trying to say I do have some experience of the industry and do agree with what PM is talking. But yeah, I mostly agree with points raised by PM. I am just contending with 5days wfo. Basically, in Bangalore, your major part will be wasted in traffic. But with such market condition, would just stay put and deal with it.

Well as long as I am being paid handsomely and having great WLB (which fortunately is the case with my current company), I can work from hell also 😂
Forcing people to offices might be a wrong turn for companies.
Because now that tech people have become more comfortable working from home and it increases the productivity and saves time in commuting in cities like gurgaon, blr, pune.

This is just my personal view:
WFH is not necessarily needed by everyone out there. If you have medical conditions or your medical dependants, or anything urgent like that
There are quite a majority of people who will be happy to come back and join office normal as before.
Here comes the PL 😅😅
Big companies are not providing wfh anymore. There are only few like naggaro and uplers that are providing wfh. But many small companies are still providing wfh so if you really need wfh then join a small company. Don't forget to do a proper research about their work culture before joining, or you'll end up working on weekends too :)

But almost every company is on hybrid model. Complete ofice is something I am concerned about.
