Super burnt out and exhausted. Really struggling to have a life beyond work, hate the project I’ve been forcefully staffed on and have too many things going on personally that I can’t pay attention to. I always thought I loved the job all these years but I’m running out of faux niceties to tell myself when I wake up every morning. What are some motivation mantras you guys use to pull through the day?

What would you charge a real estate agent for a logo and business card in the LA market? New to consulting, but it seems like utilization targets really only function to incentivize folks to avoid the bench. In terms of billing actuals, isn’t everybody better off if you just bill 40/45/whatever your target is? Better forecasting and budgeting (good for project lead), client paid for hours so we charge for them (good for partner), peace of mind for hitting utilization target (good for consultant who doesn’t have to worry as much about hitting target). Am I missing something here?
