first of all, congratulations and fantastic work on clearing the interview. Not a lot of people would even have the confidence to attend the interview, let alone clear it. Lemme tell you buddy, you'll go a long way!
now coming to the point, alot of the time, the job's a repetitive work of task assigned to you. So i think, its only about getting through for the first week, and i think once you gel up in the work environment, you'll find people to guide and help you(unless its a startup)
Something you should do, is start giving time off work to upskill yourself. My feeling is you'll get through, but if it does come to a point that you are off boarded, you'll have a new ctc and a designation of senior d.s on your relieving.
Which then you can milk, to find yourself a better opportunity afterwards. You can always make up things of how you got laidoff.
My feeling, if you've gotten this far. I think you'll make it through the other part too.
I guess it's all about luck, as in that day in the interview he was mostly asked theoretical questions and wasn't asked to derive any algorithm on paper or code in the interview, or even if they did, they might have asked a python string or other general coding question, presuming it's python, So it can happen out of luck, but I'm also in the same boat now, joined a new company without much analytical tool knowledge but I've shown multiple years of experience and I'm now watching YouTube videos to understand it..
Thanks a lot to all of you for your love, guidance, encouragement and wishes. It has definitely boosted my confidence. Hopefully I'll get through this and become an expert data scientist one day.
Even i am facing this same existential dread or imposter syndrome where i feel i dont deserve this salary or niether i want to go back earning mere 3 lpa . i was in Automation qa for 2.6 yr and then jumped to Data Scientist where they didnt use any ML so i had to make my resume a little changes in keywords to claim i have infact used ML exp .so total i have 3.11 yr but expectation are high. Theoritcal knowledge and where to use which techniques, but lack the expertise so i feel like a dumbfounded at times.
i felt the same! something ive been advising all my friends, is start applying.
You'll never know until you do. I applied at close to 70 jobs, got shortlisted for 15. Cleared 13, got offers from 10. And now i am earning twice of what i was earning last year.
So keep applying, with more interview experience under your belt you'll get polished and then eventually land yourself a dream job.
I was earning 4.5 LPA with 5YOE Now earning 10, I'm very sure I would have even got 15 if i kept on trying.
And i had the same mindset of undermining maself, but trust me once you'll start applying and getting cleared, you'll love how much other companies in market value your skills and experience.
ik, i am earning a very small sum. But just wanted share my experience, hope it helps!
Hello fishes I joined HCL Technologies in mid September I was told initially it would be wfh But now they are asking me to come to office 5 days a week I don't know what to do even thinking about quitting Any suggestions regarding how should i proceed?
I applied to American Express and gave the first round of interview for Analyst - Risk Management and it went really great and was waiting for a positive response from HR. In return it’s been almost 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anything from her. I tried calling her too but she didn’t picked up.

give me referral, I will support you there
Please try to learn more while working and make notes where you feel you are not understanding things.
In weekends, put extra effort to stay on top of learning and trying out things. Everything will go well :)
Try to keep a positive attitude and things will sort.

Company name? If you don’t mind
I would love to know how did you get into a company by therotical knowledge.
Coming to your question, I think you can learn on the go because all companies give atleast couple of months to settle down
Which company?
