Somehow my shoulder became the headrest for the guy next to me on the flight this morning... Is it that hard to keep your head off of a complete stranger?

Working with a really terrible micromanaging director. Anyways - how do I create a healthy relationship with her? I don’t necessarily care for her but this is consulting so I guess I need to be on her good side. Suggestions?
PS Frankly partners are easier than her, on top of everything adds minimal value and doesn’t give anything to any manager esp if they’re women. Seen her do this with everyone.

How have people regained their professional confidence after being transitioned out of MBB? I always had good scores overall but was average in problem solving, hence the transition. Now as I job search I can’t help but feel like if I couldn’t succeed as a bottom-of-the-pile Associate how could I possibly sell myself to another company? Especially as problem solving is so key to strategy work. Any tips on how to overcome this feeling of failure.. Is this a normal reaction?
