I wouldn’t do anything. Your bosses and your team know you. If this person has no evidence, you are fine. Let them bark - they seldom bite.
FYI: No damage was done to the firm's reputation. No financial damage was incurred. The person is just upset something didn't go their way and this is how they are choosing to rationalize why things didn't go their way.
I would get on a call with that person and the parner(s) that is in charge of your group and have an open discussion.If you didn't do anything, I wouldn't just let it fly.
I 100% agree. Have a discussion to try ironing things out (with a partner involved or senior) in a calm and empathetic manner (I know it's easier said than done in heat of the moment). The sooner the better to make sure you both can move forward otherwise it might happen again where accusations or tensions can arise.
