Someone here has experience with Taxfyle.
Are they honest? Do they get clients for you??

I did it for a bit a few years ago. In my experience the numbers of professionals looking for jobs far outweighs the number of jobs available. Jobs get taken within seconds of them being posted. I did it for a busy season and made a couple hundred bucks, but factoring in the cost of needing your own tax software it wasn’t worth it.

Would be interested to hear if there is a bigger pool of jobs available now.

Making the move into a Project Manager position. When chatting with an old friend about a possible opportunity, he asked what salary I’d want. I was super unprepared for that question, so I told him that and made up a number. Googled it after and realized I should’ve said 10k higher. If I’m offered a position, how would I go about navigating a higher salary than I already said?

so i just realized we may have forgotten to do a first short period extension filing for a 2019 acquisition. minimal activity and not anticipating any taxable income.

what’s the projected fall out from this? anyone ever file a federal return late? i’m guessing it’s too late to file the extension so might as well submit the return ASAP

Just found out that Deloitte U.K. (London office) new managers total compensation is £59k ($78k) plus a discretionary annual bonus of up to £3k ($4k). In Tax, seems to be higher in consulting. Surely this cannot be right?

Fine the pension seems great I would have an 8% contribution and the firm matches that 100%, 25 days annual leave which apparently you are encouraged to take, but only earning $78-82k as a manager in London?

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours
