Does their presence intimidate you more than actual fear of direction alignment? Trust that they’re on your side and that if you veer off they’ll bring the conversation back to base. You’re on the same team and it’s in their benefit that you do well- so don’t hesitate to ask them to jump in and add points or provide additional thoughts/feedback, otherwise ride the wave and know that if they didn’t think you were capable you wouldn’t be the one standing up there leading the meeting.
Synch up with your director/partner beforehand , strategize messages and who says what. Don’t jump on each other’s lines - you need to be a team in front of the client. Your directors and partners will appreciate the foresight.
Also, use IM if you can to stay tuned with your team during virtual meetings (unless you’re presenting). And make sure the IMs don’t pop up where the client can see them.
