I once worked at a small agency that was pitching a govt account. Military. The PRESIDENT of the agency asked me to be sure to be around when the potential clients came in to show their “diversity “. Me. Just me, cuz...I was all they had. He was a good enough guy and even though it meant staying in the office instead of handling post that day, I agreed. But I told him clearly that he wouldn’t be having this problem if he just did a better job of hiring people of color. That was 10 years ago. Nothing has changed.
