Does anyone lighten their own hair? I’ve been having full foils down for years and I’d really rather an all over lighten. I’d love to stop spending the money on it and wondering about just doing it myself.
Is it worth it being a freelance actor? I don't want to sign with an agency because they'll take away a big chunk of my earnings, but it's so hard to hustle and do it all by myself.

I’ve been Bird Boxing these layouts and now I have to stay late to redo ‘em. Totally worth it though
Hi, my last working day is 16th Sept. I have to choose between 2 offrs, one with mnc 12lacs hybrid, another with product based company pwfh 14lpa. Which should I join? I've 3.5 yoe and techstack is java.

The thing in HCl is i have got onboarded on 30-March-2022 and e-signed the documents but induction session is not done. Can I easily join new company or will HCl technologies make it as issue and affect my Career. Can you guys help me out
Just started as an A1 and am noticing I feel like I’m not bringing much value to company.
Should I start to seek out clients to intrigue upper management? How does an A1 catch the eye of partners/managers/SH? I want to make senior in one year and hopefully make 100k by 3YOE — currently making $60k in HCOL. Is this possible or am I being too ambitious?

Now with the Deloitte layoffs announcement I feel my paranoia is reasonable. How do you manage work life balance when you want to keep your hours up for fear of losing your job? I have been asked to shift some of my work since I’m working too much apparently and others aren’t working enough, but that scares me. I am a February new hire, very nervous.
Lol who dis
People who recently joined Walmart is it hybrid and work from home from office location mandatory for you ?
I currently have offers for both EY and RSM for Financial Due Diligence as a Senior Associate in a HCOL area (NY, San Fran). Assuming I get paid the same, does anyone think one offer would be better than the other? Being a HCOL, I know there will be more hours for either role but not sure if there are other factors I am not considering. Is anyone able to provide any insight about either firm to help make this decision?
How many new emails do you get? And in (how many you have to reply to). I am at about 125 (50-70 for reply).
Connected with a guy on CMB. Every time he messages, it’s literally a book. Our convo is five messages between us, but he has told me...Contd

I feel like this is the busiest billable December I’ve had. Anyone else absolutely swamped with work this month?

Do you center family planning around where you’re at in your career? A few years ago I told myself the appropriate time to start a family would be when I made 6 figures. I’ve hit that milestone and still cannot envision children for myself. Seems like there’s no such thing as stability and layoffs are rampant this year. Maybe it’s just the world we live in now but children sound like a terrible financial decision and an added stressor if anything could go wrong with my job or cost of living.
Is this discrimination? What even does this comment mean??? I met with someone at my org that is not a direct report. They informed me some of my emails were taken offensively and it’s been popular discussion for an ext period of time wo being brought to me. I was told I’m not “Midwest nice and the people that work here are”. I communicate directly. For insight I’m in sales I have to be direct. But now I feel like a whole department is trash talking me when I just asked for clarity or gave idea
I'm learning various programming languages, most recent is SQL and Python. I'm wondering how to properly adjust my medical resume to attract a possible entry-level job in IT with no experience or on the job experience if available, would anyone be able to give me some ideas. I've been asking and researching but haven't come up with anything useful.

Do you think being a manual tester / user acceptance tester will be something that offers experience a lot of companies will want? I know it’s not automated / coding, but manually testing functionality of a certain system or app I feel like is important too. I know the salary isn’t as high, but I’m curious if I should take it a step further and learn coding.
I am a full stack senior software engineer and have been coding for almost 9 years only to realize that i hate coding nowadays because I am not being able to manage it(there is a difference between not liking and hating. In my case it is the latter). What are the alternate career options in this field. Every morning I wake up waiting for the day to get over. This impacts my daily life with family and mental health. I am losing confidence because many times I’m unable to complete my tasks at offc
Any feedback on @Gitlab? Got an offer in their mid-market space and want to hear about internal experiences.
Hey guys, I saw a Network Hardware Systems Performance Engineer position on Meta and I'm interested in applying. I was wondering of there's anyway I could get a referral?
Question: I've had 2 opportunities cross my path in the past week. One is on the on the way towards a pivot I want to do and it really the one I think I'd want but the 2nd came through a former boss, is $20k more a year than the first, but only slightly different from the job I have now. I'd be stupid to let the latter pass waiting to hear about the former but it's not 100 percent down the path I want to follow. I'm torn...Advice?
I posted some time back what you would think/react to this situation: when asked about salary in a recruiting situation the response ‘as much as a current male at the same job level +10%’. I’m happy to report that I used this tactic and received a very supportive response from the recruiter. She even shared her own personal story of pay inequity.
I'm a recent grad and I applied for an entry-level analyst job. The position is remote and they provided the salary range for Connecticut to be $60,000 to $106,700. I live in the RTP area which is about 8% lower than Connecticut. I meet all the requirements for the job posting, and was wondering how much should I ask for in regards to salary? The company is United Health Group. Thank you!
Hi Ladies: I was offered a position yesterday with a well-known tech company at $98k. Today, I received an email stating that the compensation was misquoted and the company is now offering $80k plus a sign-on bonus of $5k and unvested stock options which will fully vest after 4-years. I informed the recruiter that I’m still interested and ask for renegotiation because I come with years of experience.
Is there anything else I can do at this point?
Hi! Very interested in a role at HubSpot. Anyone willing to connect and possibly give a referral? Thank you!
I’m a senior product manager for a private non tech co. I managed 2 internal systems and one b2b saas. I’m looking to go into the tech industry with my experience but struggling to get noticed and and can’t get over imposter syndrome. Anyone out there experiencing this? Can someone who has been in my predicament share any success stories?
Hi there! I completed the last round of an interview (presentation) last week. Originally they said they would be calling my references & then make an offer accordingly. Today they updated that they'd like me to travel to their HQ (based in Nordics & I'm in London) for the final round where I'd meet the CEO, the hiring manager and a couple of people in the team. I don't think I'm the only one in the process - even though initially the last round was the presentation. What are your thoughts?
🌟WINSDAY🌟 Pardon my lateness but share a personal or professional win and get some hype 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Question as a woman that continues to undervalue herself. I have an interview w a large company as a product designer w 3+ years exp, they had asked me what my salary expectations were. I asked them what their budget for the position was, and they had said 200k. It was 80k more than I had in mind, so in the moment I agreed. A part of me is feeling like I should ask for a lower salary bc I’m psyching myself out before the interview, thinking I’m not valuable enough. If you were in my shoes, WWYD?
