I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Any suggestions how to handle the credit card debt without racking up tons of ongoing card interest?
I have no idea if you are an idiot or not, if that helps
I’m pretty heavy into FTEC as well. Have been for a couple years now 🤷♂️
Short term maybe, but long term I don’t think so. One of the key aspects of investing is always your time horizon for when you need to “use” your money invested into whatever it is you’re invested in. 2nd is the diversification (or lack there off) risk (concentration in a sector in your case). But that concentration risk is also essentially hinging on the time horizon
