It’ll be worth it, and way beyond 30
I’m posting this exhausted. I spent the morning cleaning my house and catching up on emails, 2pm and I’m at the gym for the first time in 3 weeks dying and then the afternoon will be spent studying for an exam on circuits
Staying healthy will pay off big time. Mid 30s hit like a bag of bricks if you didn’t build in the habits to eat relatively well, use your body, and have good mental health hygiene. In the end good habits and good genes are all you have and one of those you can’t control.
On the job part, I actually think your 20s are a good time to take risks that open doors. I “wasted” my 20s in a PhD program but even though I am not an academic it opens a lot of doors (HC consulting —> pharma job). I wouldn’t sit around my parent’s house getting high but I would take risks (start your own business, move to a new city, change careers). Whatever you do, just commit to doing it well.
But don’t live like a monk. Not everything needs to be 100% all the time. Think more about small habits and then enjoy the fact that your liver still functions and that you don’t need 10 hours of sleep to feel normal.
working out - yes. all others - def not :(
but i’ve never grinded or went to grad school. so. i’m a little biased haha. it’s turning out great tho!
Lol this is minimum requirements why ask about it
Sure
Listen if you're doing life the way someone told you instead of following your own internal compass, it's already a bad plan. Do what's right for you and if you don't know explore your interest. Don't focus on making a paycheck or you'll miss the fun of being alive.
It’s worth it.
