Ask your dad?
Fly to Switzerland and go door to door to each bank and ask if they know your dad

Didn’t expect Trump Jr on fb
Ask your dad, then send me the account info and I’ll look into it this weekend for you, free of charge
Have you asked your dad?
I’m surprised by this question coming from BCG folks.
If he hasn’t told you it’s probably because you ski more than the Olympic team. No, beneficiaries haven’t no rights to know about or control the assets.
I dont, I work hard and recieve no money from him. But thanks for the clarification on beneficiary rights.
Who told you about the trust if it wasn’t your dad?
Who told you about and how would they know?
As a Brit living in Switzerland…no chance if it’s with a Swiss bank. You can be a beneficiary of a trust but have no entitlement to see any documents relating to the trust.
And, just an observation based on experience of American friends here but it’s unlikely your dad will have gone for a Swiss-based trust as there’s no value in it from a tax perspective for you/him. Lichtenstein or Luxembourg on the other hand…
If it’s Lichtenstein you may be in a little more luck. It’s very discrete but I think they follow UK trust law so you may get something other than “p*ss off” if you know the bank and ask for confirmation that you’re a beneficiary.
For context, money is a touchy subject so I dont want to ask directly. I’ve always been raised with the “you wont ever get a dime from me” mentality. Never received a dollar from my dad after graduating from undergrad so hearing this came as a big surprise. For context in the UK this info is available (someone checking if they are the beneficiary of a trust fund) so just wondering if anyone knew if something similar existed with Switzerland ( I know what bank it would be in)
If you are not getting a penny from him, it’s unlikely he set up a trust for you in Switzerland.
I found out about my trust when my banking app glitched and showed me the account lol.
Thats awesome
If you take the route of flying to Switzerland and knocking on the doors of every bank you could also meet someone along the way and this would be a perfect hallmark movie.
“Gaining Trust” ???
