I am a recent college grad that has been struggling to transition & find a good entry QA role. Does anyone know a remote entry level Quality Assurance Analyst or QA Specialist roles hiring? I live in Washington, DC so I can be on site as well. TIA and open to any advice or referrals as well!!

I’m a big 4 M2 making 125k base in a MCOL, specialty tax group, with a JD. Interviewing at other big 4 firms for basically the same position. What’s a reasonable raise % I could expect/would be worth it to switch firms to do the same work?

My wife currently works in Family Office for a Bulge Bracket bank. She's no longer interested in doing that type of work and is open to transitioning out of the Financial Services industry. She's thinking of transitioning to tech, but is having a tough time identifying what type of role would be a good fit. Any recommendations on roles?

Fellow introverts...can I only advance in my career if I take on a leadership role? The thought of this terrifies me. My current boss hasn't exactly given me the confidence that would reassure me that I'm leadership material. He constantly questions my design choices, which I'm able to defend. It doesn't help that he always presents outdated ideas and throws UX out the window. I know that I know my stuff and keep up with best practices. Say you receive an offer letter from a tech company of 165k base (let’s just focus on base for now). This offer was exactly what you were looking for when you started your job search. However, initially you told the recruiter you were looking for 160-175k.
Do you still negotiate? Should you rarely every take the first initial offer?

I think leadership in my company is just gearing up to sell:
1. When I try to refactor, organize, or address tech debt in the code, I get heavy pushback with no real justification (they just say “keep it simple”) and no stated initiatives to fix said debt. Thanks, I guess I’m just an impetuous child.
2. Marketing wants “more logos” to attract a 2nd round of investment.
3. No long-term vision for our “product.”
4. Way more personnel,no innovation
