I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. There is still 2 months for the joining date. Is there a hiring freeze coming? If yes, will they rescind offers that have already been made? Goldman Sachs
Any entry level business analysts hiring?
I too have been astounded by the lack of professionalism in the recruiting process recently. I’ve had partners not show up for interviews at two different firms, with no follow up from the firm (apology, acknowledgement, or attempt to reschedule). Both where I was a few rounds in. Lots of other nonsense too with other firms that has left a very poor impression in my view. Things were never like this before. Is this the new normal in 2022? I think professionalism in the recruiting process is a great way for firms to maintain good relationships with potential recruits (including their lawyer and future lawyer friends). Not sure why firms don’t seem to pay any attention to that piece anymore.
Because they don’t have to give a shit anymore. There isn’t a scarcity of lawyers. Too many schools with accreditation and insanely large class sizes. The market is stupidly saturated so they know that no matter what they do, bodies are gonna walk in through the door and they can treat people like numbers.
I agree wholeheartedly. Sorry you had to go through that. But at least-- bullet dodged.
definitely a bullet dodged. Thank you!
I am so sorry! I've been through this before and I know it can be so exhausting to keep waiting. You dodged a bullet
Thank you!
