Something needs to be done about ghosting during the hiring/interview process. I had multiple interviews with a firm, was told the interviews went great from all of the partners and that I would hear back, and was ghosted. I was invited back to interview for the sixth time almost six months later and was ghosted before the interview was even scheduled. It’s a shame how these employers treat job seekers. It takes a huge toll on you. At the very least, just tell job seekers that they didn’t get it

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

1st year associate (NY) thinking about lateraling into a large insurance defense firm from Municipal work/L&E, pay jump 75 to 125 and hybrid as opposed to fully in office. Basically is the pay jump/hybrid worth giving up current practice area to ID? Midlevel Corp NYC big law. Received a mixed bag review during mid-year review. Even positive and negative. My reviews over the years have had peaks and valleys. Worried about consistency. Should I dip or at least start talking to recruiters? Didn’t get an action plan or anything but it was a “developmental message.” Besides obviously internalizing and correcting to get better- thoughts on whether I should start looking?
