He didnt get laid off cause of your mistake. If an SM got fired it is because his revenue was not upto the mark. And to be honest, in this scenario, people with the best metrics got laid off. Nothing absolutely to do with you. If anything, he should have had your back and making sure he holds up his end when you tripped.
He didnt probably spare you a thought after he rolled you off. Being nice and empathetic is really hard in consulting. I am like that and each day I torture myself thinking about what is. Not fun
BAs don’t get SMs laid off. This was not your fault. If you had been successful on the project the Ms and SMs would have taken credit. Don’t blame yourself.
I personally think that’s a long shot. It’s likely due to other reasons. even if this is one of the reasons, which I don’t think it is, it would be a minor one.
Your clumsiness definitely did not get him fired.
Also do not bring this up with anyone. Weird to do so.

People get laid off all the time, especially SMs, and especially during recessions. No way it had to do with anything you did. BAs are supposed to screw up a lot, it comes with the territory and SMs and Partners know this.
No. Sounds like you did a bad job but people do a bad job and make mistakes all the time. If you did such a terrible job that it was the direct cause you probably would’ve gotten laid off also. So I wouldn’t sweat it, learn from the experience and move on!
Just go on with your life. Unless you are in ❤️
It usually takes a lot to get fired. Especially at a SM level. I’m sure you weren’t the reason so don’t feel the need to carry that burden. But I also think it would be nice to reach out and keep the connection.

Am I crazy for thinking I got him fired. Should
I reach out? It’s just an awkward topic and I don’t know how to broach it.
The only thing that you did wrong and should worry about was capitalizing "senior client stakeholders". The rest is in the past.
Yah don’t worry OP I spilled coffee on the client when walking by. All is good though they all laugh about it now 💁♂️

OP I think it means that you have a really big heart that you’re even thinking about this. But we’re all human and we all make mistakes and trust me getting laid off at the senior manager level is not one point of failure you have to have consistent missteps and I am sure that your mistake did not create this
