Sometimes I have to think about what my client might've been like as a young child or what their mom might be like so I can write a nice, sass-free email back to them.

That's a really great way to make yourself be empathetic when dealing with a jerkface. I'm stealing it. Thanks, OP!

Instead, I think about what MY mom might be like if I acted like THEM as a child. And then I govern myself accordingly.

Just started working at a big law firm about 3 weeks ago in a completely different field than I expected nor wanted to be in (but I needed to start working asap). I need toddler sleep help. My 2.5 y/o just started climbing out of his crib at night. If we put him back in, he screams and tries to get back out. Last night after 3 hours of the scream, leave, get out of the crib thing, I gave up and let him sleep in my bed. What do I do? If I get him a big kid bed, there’s no way he’ll stay in it, but he’s not staying in the crib either. I AM SO TIRED.

I really don’t think there’s a chance that the SCOTUS overturns Roe. I would hope this affirming decision further slams the door on states trying to legislate what happens in a doctor’s office between a pregnant woman and her doctor. There’s always a chance this swings the other way, but this SCOTUS so far has a non partisan approach, regardless of what the media has portrayed. The panic seems unwarranted.
