If I’m that important, or the meeting is that important, than the scheduler should put an agenda in the meeting. That’s what I do, because it’s considerate to explain to people what they need to be prepared for, or can at least deduce their role in the meeting from an objective. 9/10 times it’s people staring at a screen and updating a spreadsheet. Ain’t nobody got time for that
I hit tentative just to be passive aggressive
@Art Director - If this is how you feel, your company is doing it right, and I applaud you. Unfortunately, other companies think more is better and add in as many people to the meeting as possible. What happens at that point is half the room is on their laptop, and the other half is on their phone, and nothing really moves along. Sounds like optimizing time to me! You do you!
I like this approach. So many meetings and not enough time to do. the. work. 😒
I get it and I’ve been there done that.
I’ve also made it a point to let the calendar inviter know I’m slammed with projects so if I don’t need to be in the meeting then I’m going to decline.
