Sometimes I wish I never learned about this career path. Ever since I have it’s only caused me stress and anxiety. Anything I accomplish is never good enough since I always have to be working towards the next goal, whether that be another promotion, more impactful projects, an MBA.

You should only have those goals if they are what you want. You are the only one living your life. Don’t worry about what others are doing and what they think success is. Find a path that makes YOU happy.

Definitely empathise with that feeling. Two thoughts that have helped me: 1) Work does not define me. Work is part of my identity, but not my whole identity. I love working on my passions and hobbies and investing time and effort into my relationships too. 2) Live in the present. I frequently found myself romanticising the past or looking towards the future (latter of which added to the stress of always working towards the next goal). Yes I’ll have future goals I want to reach but for now I want to enjoy the present and do what I can to the best of my ability, and not worry about what I can’t control.

Hey all, I know MBB sponsor international candidates but at what stage they look at your visa situation. Do they take into consideration initially before sending you any online assessment test and while reviewing your CV or they look for it after you go through interviews. I had a chat with previous McKinsey consultant and he was like you automatically get cut off from the system if you select 'require visa sponsorship'. Not sure if it is true or not?

Getting cold feet about turning in my notice. Recently got an offer from a company for a role I’ve been super curious about. My current role is good - pay-wise, manager & team-wise, etc - but I’m really tired of the daily grind of my current job function. I’ve been here for only 4 months so I’m afraid I’m making a mistake leaving a good opportunity for something so unknown and career pivot and sooo new to me (plus it’s a startup, so less stable than current job). What should I do?
