I countered with a recruiter and they responded to my concerns and questions with “don’t worry about PTO days, I don’t even take them”, “you’re focused on the wrong things” (when speaking about health insurance costs), “I can’t see them going for that (my counter), let me see your experience again, 10 years hm”, “it’s really not an apples to apples comparison, this is a really good offer, don’t focus on that other stuff”.
